Second Sunday of Advent

4th December 2022

We journey further towards Christmas with our second Sunday of Advent. Please note that we are not having an all-age service this Sunday at 10am as the children will be busy in the hall rehearsing for the crib service.

We hope you can join us during this season of waking up to the Christ who is within and all around us.

Collect

Almighty God,

purify our hearts and minds,

that when your Son Jesus Christ comes again as judge and saviour

we may be ready to receive him,

who is our Lord and our God.

Readings

Isaiah 11.1-10, Psalm 72.1-7,18,19, Romans 15.4-13, Matthew 3.1-12

Taizé for Healing Service marking the start of Advent. Taizé chants and peace for the healing for ourselves and the world. There is individual healing prayer at the end of the service for those who wish to stay on.

Temporary parking changes The grass area used for parking (which we now refer to as ‘the meadow’) has become very muddy and will be fenced off for the time being. Please, therefore, be aware of a white and red chain and posts.  We are sorry for this inconvenience and hope you will bear with us.  The Churchwardens.
