Fifth Sunday after Trinity 17th July 2022
‘Martha was distracted by her many tasks.’ Luke 10.40. Image provided by Revd Jess, see Bible Art below for commentary We hope you have been coping with, and even enjoying, the hot summer weather. The beach by the church has been busy this week with swimmers and paddle boarders. We journey yet further this Sunday into the green days of Ordinary Time. We hope you can join us at one of our services.
Collect Almighty God, send down upon your Church the riches of your Spirit, and kindle in all who minister the gospel your countless gifts of grace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Readings Genesis 18.1-10a, Psalm 15, Colossians 1.15-28, Luke 10.38-42

And finally Our new contactless giving terminal is now installed at the back of church. Contactless giving enables people to give to church by tapping a contactless payment device with their debit or credit card. It’s very easy to use, and donations can be Gift Aided. The Church of England reports that in the last 10 years the use of cash has slowly diminished and now twice the value and volume of payments are made by card and contactless methods compared to cash. We hope that this terminal will be used by visitors to the church and occasional attenders. Blessings and prayers for you all this week.
