Good Shepherd Sunday

8th May 2022

We look forward to welcoming Archdeacon Martin Lloyd Williams at our 10am Sunday service, presiding and preaching. This week we are celebrating Good Shepherd Sunday, a time in our church calendar when we remember that Jesus descibed himself as the good shepherd. It is also an opportunity for us to celebrate the life of our own little church on the beach and give thanks.   There is a community lunch in the hall at 12.15pm, for those who have already booked. We hope you can join us for the service, or lunch, or both!

Collect

Risen Christ,

faithful shepherd of your Father’s sheep:

teach us to hear your voice

and to follow your command,

that all your people may be gathered into one flock,

to the glory of God the Father.

Readings

Acts 9.36-43, Psalm 23, Revelation 7.9-17,

John 10.22-30

(This includes all breakfast items and drinks.  GF and Veg included). We would appreciate taking bookings and payment before the event so that we have a better idea for ordering food and to secure your place at this previously very popular event.

Ascension Day on Mill Hill

We celebrate Ascension Day with a short reflective service at Mill Hill Nature Reserve, followed by a bring-your-own picnic breakfast.  We meet at the upper car park on Mill Hill at 8am on Thursday 26th May. Bring a camping chair or rug. Please lift share, walk or cycle where possible. If the weather is wet we will meet in church – a message will be posted on the church website on Wednesday evening if we are to meet in church.
