24th July 2022

‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.’ Luke 11.1. Image provided by Revd Jess, see Bible Art below for commentary

We hope you have managed to cope during the recent heat wave. The church remained comfortably cool throughout. You are warmly invited to join us this week as we celebrate the sixth Sunday after Trinity, in Ordinary Time.

Creator God,

you made us all in your image:

may we discern you in all that we see,

and serve you in all that we do;

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

And finally…

It was a joy to have the Vivace choir singing at the church last Saturday. Pimms and strawberries with cream were an extra delight. Thank you to Hilary for organising this event, and all her helpers. It raised £346.84 for church funds!

Blessings and prayers for you all this week. I work half-time and the days I am usually available are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (morning).
