We welcome the Bishop of Kurunegala, Sri Lanka, Rt Rev Dr Keerthisiri Fernando, to our 10am service. He will be preaching for us and sharing news about the situation in Sri Lanka. You will have read in the news that Sri Lanka is currently in the grip of political and economic turmoil. Bishop Keerthisiri visited our church about three years ago and it is good to be able to welcome him again. He has been in this country participating in the Lambeth Conference. We hope you will be able to join us.

Newcomer’s Afternoon Tea at the vicarage Sunday 21st August 3.30pm-5pm
There have been quite a few new people join the church in the past two years. We haven’t offered any newcomer social events to properly welcome you all because of the difficulties with covid. Revd Jane and John would love to catch-up by inviting any who have joined the church recently to an afternoon tea at the vicarage. This includes newcomers to the Tuesday, Saturday and Taizé services, as well as Sunday mornings. It will be a chance to meet other new people and learn more about the Good Shepherd. Please let Revd Jane know if you would like to attend by emailing her: bartlett.jane@ntlworld.com
Please indicate whether you have any dietary preferences (gluten free, vegan)

And finally…
Thanks to Daisy and members of the Durrant family for the family labyrinth walk this week. It was a lovely sunny afternoon for adults and children playing together. The pebble labyrinth is likely to stay in place for some time. You might look out for it at low tide, and even walk it, when you are next around the Pollinator Café.
Blessings and prayers for you all this week. I work half-time and the days I am usually available are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (morning).
