First Sunday of Christmas, 27th December, 2020 and
Epiphany, 3rd January, 2021
We have a double issue newsletter for you covering the services of 27th December and 3rd January. I do hope you are able to celebrate and find comfort and joy in the Christmas season, even if it’s not in the way that you would normally. This year has been tough for all of us, and we pray for a brighter future in 2021.
Collect for First Sunday of Christmas God in Trinity, eternal unity of perfect love: gather the nations to be one family, and draw us into your holy life through the birth of Emmanuel, our Lord Jesus Christ.

who led the Magi by a star
to worship the Christ-child:
guide and sustain us,
that we may find our journey’s end
in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Readings
Isaiah 60.1-6, Psalm 72.[1-9]10-15,
Ephesians 3.1-12, Matthew 2.1-12

Children
There is no Sea Lights on December 27th, but do join us for the all age service for Epiphany, when we will be having some fun with stars and wise men. We also have a Messy Church coming up Saturday 16th January, 4pm to 5pm. Our theme is Peace.
Please email Daisy if you would like your family to attend Messy Church which will be run in a Covid secure way. cogssundayschool10@gmail.com
New church fabrics
We have some beautiful new church fabrics for Christmas. Many thanks to Chris Diebel for her artistic work which enhances our worship.
New Readings Sheet
Starting from Epiphany we have our own readings sheet each week, rather than the one produced by Redemptorist. This saves us money, and allows us to use our own logo and design. Thank you to Chris and Michael for taking the production of this on for us.
How to book for next week’s Parish Communion service in church, Sunday 27th December, 10am
- This is the TryBooking link for booking places https://www.trybooking.co.uk/TKB
- Booking will be open from Monday to Friday for the following Sunday
- You will only be able to book one week in advance. This is to prevent the same people booking every week, as it may be that more people than we can accommodate wish to come to the services.
- If you are unable to book on-line, please phone the office (01273 440202) between Monday and Friday during office hours, and Sue or Jenny will book you in.
- 22 places will be offered. Once they are full, if you have been unsuccessful and would like to attend the following Sunday please tell the office immediately (email or phone) and you will be given a priority place ahead of the Monday to Friday booking times.
How to book for the all age service for 3rd January, 10am
